St. Mary’s Dental
Program
The
St. Mary's Dental Program offers assistance to Medicaid eligible children up
to the age of 19 and pregnant women of any age to locate a participating
dentist and schedule an initial dental appointment. Comprehensive
dental care is available to eligible recipients through local participating dentists.

Dental
Sealants
As a preventive health initiative, the dental sealant program provides on-site oral
health screening and oral health education to second grade students, Head
Start Program Program enrollees and Judy Center children in a select number
of schools with the county. Services are
provided through a grant from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene Office of Oral Health. The Health Department partners with St.
Mary’s County Public Schools to provide oral health screenings to students.
Families may be provided with assistance in the application of dental
sealants.
