St. Mary’s County Health Department is located near the center of Leonardtown on Peabody Street just north of Route 5.
From the Eastern Shore:
Take Rt. 50 West over the Bay Bridge to Rt. 2 South. Proceed south into Calvert County. Turn right to stay on Rt. 2/4. Continue to Solomon’s Island and cross over the Thomas Johnson Bridge. Proceed through Rt. 235 intersection (Rt. 2/4 becomes St. Andrew’s Church Road.) Go to end and turn right onto Rt. 5. At first light, turn right onto Rt. 245 at the College of Southern Maryland. Proceed one block to Peabody St. Turn left. The health department is a one story building on the right. Parking is on the left.
From Western Maryland and Northern Virginia:From Rt. 495 (Washington Beltway) cross into Maryland and take exit for Rt.5 South. Travel 12.4 mi. then turn left to stay on Rt. 5 South/Leonardtown Rd. Continue to follow Rt. 5 south for 17.4 mi. then turn right and stay on Rt. 5 south at WAWA gas station. Continue to Leonardtown. Turn left onto Rt. 245 at College of Southern Maryland. Proceed one block to Peabody St. Turn left. The health department is a one story building on the right. Parking is on the left.
From Baltimore:From Rt. 695 take Rt. 97 South to Rt. 50 West. Continue to US 301 South to Upper Marlboro. Take Rt. 4 South to Prince Frederick/Calvert County and follow to Solomon’s Island. Cross over the Thomas Johnson Bridge. Proceed through Rt. 235 intersection (Rt. 2/4 becomes St. Andrew’s Church Road.) Go to end and turn right onto Rt. 5. From points south in Virginia:Follow I-95 North to Rt. 207 East to US 301 North. Proceed on US 301 North to Rt. 234. Turn right and continue to end of road. Merge left onto Rt. 5 South. In Leonardtown, turn left on Rt. 245 at College of Southern Maryland. Proceed one block to Peabody St. Turn left. The health department is a one story building on the right. Parking is on the left.
