Health care to children and pregnant women in families with low to average incomes
Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP) is a health insurance program for children up to age 19 and pregnant women of any age. This program provides comprehensive health care to children and pregnant women in families with low to average incomes. The Maryland Children’s Health Program is designed to cover health care costs, and residents select a Managed Care Organization (MCO) that will provide them these benefits. Income before taxes and other deductions are counted to determine eligibility.
The benefits of the MCHP may include:
Mon – Fri: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Mon – Fri: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Mon & Thurs: 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
Tues, Wed, & Fri: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
A call center has been opened for St. Mary’s County residents needing more information about measles. Community members can call the center at 240-735-8288 Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
