“Continuous Selection Pool” postings indicate categories of positions that are more frequently available with the health department. A position in this category may not be currently available at the St. Mary’s County Health Department; however, candidates must have applied through the “Continuous Selection Pool” posting to be considered for it when it does become available.
SMCHD’s Student Academy in Public Health (SAPH) provides rising high school seniors with an immersive experience in public health. The program runs annually throughout the month of July.
SAPH students spend approximately 20-25 hours per week during the program towards the following components:
