Dental Sealants

As a preventive health initiative, the dental sealant program provides on-site oral health screening and oral health education to second grade students, Head Start Program enrollees and Judy Center children in a select number of schools with the county.  Services are provided through a grant from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Office of Oral Health. The Health Department partners with St. Mary’s County Public Schools to provide oral health screenings to students. Families may be provided with assistance in the application of dental sealants.
