Annual More to Explore Program Begins June 18

LEONARDTOWN, MD (June 7, 2018) – The Healthy Eating & Active Living (HEAL) action team of the Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership is pleased to announce the 2018 More to Explore program! The More to Explore program encourages all community members to get outside and explore our local parks, historic sites and farmer’s markets through an annual passport challenge. The More to Explore passport guides participants to these locations and offers prizes for those who visit multiple sites. The 2018 challenge will run from June 18 – August 25. This program allows individuals to participate online, via an app, or with a hard copy of the passport booklet and works in tandem with summer reading program from the St. Mary’s County Library. For more information, please visit www.healthystmarys.com/more-to-explore.

Sponsors are crucial to the ongoing success of this program and provide the means to offer prizes and a printed booklet option at no cost to community members. Thank you to our sponsors for 2018: The Community Alcohol Coalition, Corn Crib Studio, Healthiest Maryland Businesses, MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, the Minority Outreach Coalition, St. Mary’s County Health Department, St. Mary’s County Library, St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks, St. Mary’s County Tennis Association and United HealthCare.
