Adult Vaccination Clinic Scheduled at Health Department

LEONARDTOWN, MD (May 4, 2017) – The St. Mary’s County Health Department will provide a vaccination clinic for adults Friday, June 9 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The clinic will be held at the health department located at 21580 Peabody Street in Leonardtown. Appointments are required and proof of identification will be necessary.

The health clinic charges a service fee of $41.35 which can be billed to accepted health insurance plans or paid by the patient directly; the vaccine itself will be free.  The following vaccines are available:

  • Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough) – for adults 18 years of age or older
  • Gardasil (HPV vaccine) – for young adults ages 18 – 26
  • Zostavax (shingles vaccine) – for those age 60 and older, while supplies last. Residents younger than 60 years of age must bring a prescription from their health care provider in order to receive the vaccine.

The health clinic accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare insurance plans. Payment by cash, check or credit card will also be accepted.
